Ricci Hall is a dormitory of The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, and its premises consist of nine blocks of low-rise. It is owned and run by the Society of Jesus – a Roman Catholic order. Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Chapel is located at one of the nine blocks among the premises without an independent entrance. The main entrance of Ricci Hall and the foyer of The Chapel would be regarded as service area as well. A spiritual uplift of the holistic service space of The Chapel is the second objective of this project of renovation.

The second generation of the premises have been re-built in 1967. The original architect is unrecognisable, but, in usual practice, he should be a professor of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. Its architectural style is largely influenced by Bauhaus, De Stijl and International Style. Its “Modernism” style of the premises was fashionable at the time and very unique in Hong Kong, even now.
