The Ricci Heritage Lane should introduce Ricci Hall’s history, and explicitly depict its origination and heritage. Every people and incidents might interact with each other along the centuries.

The vertical axis is the Latitude of the Earth, ranging from 51° 30′ N (the highest North Latitude place, London) to 34° 21′ S (the highest South Latitude place, Cape of Good Hope). The horizontal axis is the timeline, ranging from 1491 to 2018. The wall consists of the life journey of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Fr. Matheo Ricci, SJ, and Paul Hsu Kuang Ch’i. The interaction between Fr. Ricci and Paul Hsu is the most relevant to the whole development of Christianity in China. The two were first met in 1600 in Nanjing, Ming Dynasty (32° 03′ N). The wall also displays the history of Society of Jesus, Jesuits in Macau and Hong Kong, and Ricci Hall, HKU. The three paths are represented in a horizontal manner to show the origination, however. On top of that, the QR codes of important incidents are located at a waist level, according to the timeline, leading viewers for further reading.
